Barricading ourselves in the back room... -PC #1 puts their hand on the door: "Barricade 1!" -PC #2 puts their hand on the door: "Barricade 2!" -PC #3 puts their hand on the door: "Barricade 3!" -Harper puts his hand on the door: "Barricade 6!" Everyone looks at Harper because the old Duster medic is as strong as everyone else in the room combined hahaha XD
All the surgeries! I did 5. Two died (Patches and that Aldebrandi noble Alex played during the murder mystery), two survived with complications (Miles, Alex's other Aldebrandi NPC and the Legion Sergeant who tried to get Hubbard to open the door), and one lived without any problems (the girl that the Slain guy killed in front of the Directorate cabin). That Crude Transfusion Kit was totally a lifesaver this weekend and I can't wait to try and BGA it into an experimental surgery!
Everything Directorate. Seriously, all those guys are fucking awesome. They gave me a weapon, armor, meds, and sausage. Not to mention Chesla (spelling?) inspiring Harper left and right. I'm literally about to dye all my shit red and start talking with a bad accent XD.
Sunday morning clean up in the Trading Post. No one wanted the radiation shielding so Harper's got 9 blankets of the stuff. RADIATION SUIT TIME!

Sidewinder muttering about mad gods while dragging my body around. Holy crap. Sir Juspeppy's intense excitement at the arrival of the giant mutant (I thought he was going to climb on top of a pyramid of dusters to lick it) - which oh my god, staff, was SO well executed. I thought I wouldn't be surprised, but I was very surprised. Also watching that thing swinging through the open door was incredible.

The intensely weird fact that I got no mud on my fancy duds in spite of having slipped and fallen a lot. I don't really know how that happened.
PLU!!!! Plu made my heart hurt. He's really one of the biggest heroes in the whole town. I'm so glad that everyone was able to patch him back up, even if he did get a complication.

Being super sad that Patches died and I wasn't anywhere around to save him like I promised I would be.
Finally realizing that born a duster, dying a duster wasn't really something I wanted to do.
Meeting more Caplan family! Cousin and dad! WOAH family overload.

Sitting in on war planning with Jerec and the Duke.
Teaching a drone how to fist bump and trading one of my last shiny things for something wayyyyyyy better.

Getting Troga praise for protecting the scribe after everyone else involved with negotiations had died.

Getting a radio! TALKING ON THE RADIO. Trying to find a compatible, working headset. I bought one Saturday morning on my way back to site only to find it wasn't compatible. Whoops.

Goodness, I have a lot of wonderful memories from this weekend. This is easily the most proud of any event I have ever had a hand in creating. I hope you all enjoyed a fraction as much as my ego thinks that you should have.

Gleefully typing out the effects of Wise Man's Curse and imagining the heart sinking moment when people read the worst one.
Steve Rogers amazing skill combo of "Rage on me by Discourse" followed by curling up into the fetal position and activating cower and resisting all my attacks. It was even more fantastically fun then I originally imagined.
Running into a crowd of people screaming to the gods about how thankful I was to be able to prove myself worthy of ascension this day. Then Knocked unconscious all limbs maimed, expecting out of game to be interrogated, and then being awoken to Valentine matter of factly standing in front of me with a note that reads "The Gods have not chosen you.". I am then silently dragged to the lake and drowned. Amazing.
Malfunctioning radioactive robot dance through a crowd of people already being attacked on multiple sides.
Brief moment of panic Friday night when I was convinced we'd end up killing 10+ players in one event.
"Cory, could you be sure to provide Blue with an ample amount of wood?" Everyone looks around and starts giggling like pre-teens. =]

That is a mechanic we will likely not be using very often. It's a one trick pony and would get old very fast. I don't expect us to put people in situations to use it again for a number of events. If/When that happens it will likely have been altered significantly as we already had some thoughts towards improvements during the event.

2 steps being a total bro and keeping Baldassarre's sister out of the fight, everyone else who didn't murder her. Jerrec helping me find a way to get her home instead of dead. Baldassarre's Sister being completely miserable and inconsolable was super hard to watch.
Everyone donating their bullets to take down the tree man with fire. I am not sure that it wasn't regenerating the damage, though.
Getting everyone together to research the poison Skipping the whole research result and immediately reading the line "Death by Gas". Getting poisoned immediately as soon as the braves showed up (and then twice again afterwards) Using the 1/event electric paralyze from my sword of fire on Natasha when they tried to make her rage at the braves. This decision paid off because: I now owe Natasha a cow because of how much treatment she gave me in that one battle (I was beaten unconscious no less than 4 times, I think it was significantly more though).

Mod at game on - being the only one to take full advantage of being in a room with a computer voice thing that knows all about the past of the aldebrandi rather than just asking questions related to what we came there to get. - waiting for the voice to respond to my questions knowing the staffers are deciding what parts to tell and what should stay secret and then hearing "data corrupted" as the reply to some.
Finally having comfortable boots that i can run through very deep while wearing.
Putting puzzle pieces together with one of the aldebrandi players whose name i can never remember.
DEE'S AUNT! Everyone confused when dees aunt Aeystridd calls her Diana. And then Gribbit and Baldessare laughing at Dee's real name... The aunt then making sure everyone knows her niece's real name, particularly the postal carriers. And then trying be a matchmaker. Dee being totally embarrassed but also incredibly happy to find out she has a family member who is still alive

As of this moment Barricade is still an official mechanic of Second Dawn that can be used whenever you wish. I can't promise that will remain the case forever. I expect it will but with a couple alterations. That is something we will get you an official ruling on before E14.
