New Rebellion

I awoke this morning to the vibration of my eWatch. Stupid piece of junk is just another tool of the corporate system trying to oppress us... but it is pretty convenient for getting me up at the crack of dawn. I peeked out of my sniper’s nest to see if the O.R.C. shipment I’d been tracking was anywhere close to moving. Nothing yet. It’s been five days. For people with such advanced tech, these corps are pretty awful at getting things done in any semblance of efficiency. I guess it doesn’t matter when you’re dining on finery crafted from the bones and blood and tears of those you’ve enslaved. We beat them back once, this time, it’ll be for good.

The New Rebellion was formed out of the ranks of those from many different factions, but are united under a singular goal: freedom for the people of Karst.

Those that join the Rebellion learn of the plight of their ancestors: those people who fought to overthrow the InColCon corporations and live in freedom. Generations ago, these people followed a leader named Octanus Luther. Luther and his many followers believed in a few ideals; freedom, equality, and open access to all knowledge. They were called anarchists by the corporations. The Rebellion mounted a well organized attack to send the corporations running, and over years of careful planning and guerilla warfare, they succeeded in beating back InColCon– at least– for a time. InColCon struck back in the nuclear attacks that crippled the planet, and sent the lives of those on the surface spiraling into what they are now– disparate factions composed of the remaining survivors with their different ideologies. The Rebellion was forgotten after a time, the survivors forming what became the Directorate and the Legion.

Now, in the wake of discovery about the past, as well as the aggressions of Slane Defense Systems and O.R.C., the Rebellion has been reformed. United in their purpose, recruits from all different factions have take up the cause, and are putting on the tans and browns of the Rebels– vowing to fight to the last for their freedom.
